REVIEWS
Watching Untouchable – Laughing Out Caste, you will not guess it is a debutant’s work. It is full of heart, warm, funny, powerful – everything it wants to be! Manjeet has many talents, and his humour shines through in how the movie is made and cut as well. More power to him for taking control of his narrative. Huge shoutout to the team, particularly the cinematography and animation, both so memorable.

The system is not only challenged, it is rocked and left swaying in the wind by a round of quick fire, deeply penetrating jokes that make most of the audience guffaw with laughter, but I also hope that some were left deeply uncomfortable and questioning every casteist belief that we know too many still hold – and some maybe even forced to rethink that old way of how things were.

Executive Director of IDSN
With his wry humor, Manjeet Sarkar shows us that laughter can be used as a weapon of resistance against social prejudice.
Ari Gautier
French Author & Poet
The documentary is extraordinary for many reasons. It traverses many spaces, many cultural domains. We hear conversations from very diverse people coming from various social locations. It is immensely moving and sharp. Manjeet’s laughter - his laughter at himself will itself shake you.
